Chaplaincy and spiritual care

In line with government guidance, gatherings for public worship cannot happen during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Chaplaincy Team has compiled a handy guide of streaming services where Christian worship can be enjoyed.

We appreciate your patience during this difficult time and we hope you stay safe and well. For more information on COVID-19, please see our FAQ information: Coronavirus (COVID-19) information for children, young people and families.

St Christopher’s Chapel is a place of sanctuary for patients, families and staff at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Please respect this by only using the Chapel if you have a patient in here, have been a patient in the past;  are a member of staff; or are coming to see the Memorial Books.  Should you have any queries or concerns, please contact a member of the Chaplaincy & Spiritual Care Team.

For those who have no connection with GOSH please go to the church of St George the Martyr on Queen Square, a short walk from the hospital and next to Queens Square.

Visiting each ward regularly, we have time to listen to you confidentially and reflect with you, whether you are religious or not. We are interested in your life journey and seek to support the community at GOSH by our presence.

Take a look at what services we have around the hospital, as well as details of our annual memorial service.

Read a selection of prayers from various faith traditions.
