Legal Services at GOSH

The Legal Team also provides an advisory service to clinicians as well as providing training and bespoke presentations on a wide variety of issues.

For clarity, the Legal Team cannot provide legal advice to Trust staff on personal (non-Trust related) matters and similarly cannot provide legal advice to patients/parents who should seek advice from their local CAB or law firm.

The Legal Team manages a wide range of legal matters for the Trust. These include:

All clinical/non-clinical claims brought against the Trust
Inquests;
Child Protection proceedings involving Trust witnesses
Criminal investigations involving Trust witnesses
Medical treatment cases via High Court applications
Medical records and statement requests from Solicitors
