Services and facilities available

GOSH has the largest haemophilia CCC for children in the UK and one of the five largest in Europe. The complex nature of these lifelong disorders requires specialist medical and nursing care.

The centre specialises in complications of haemophilia and other bleeding disorders, such as the management of inhibitors.

Our medical consultants are paediatric haematologists with special interests in haemostasis and thrombosis.

The parents and the children themselves are also partners in the care model of haemophilia management.

The GOSH haemophilia CCC has a full diagnostic repertoire required to accurately diagnose bleeding disorders using relatively small volumes of blood.

These include both coagulation and platelet-based disorders at all ages of childhood, including young infants.
