Refer a patient to the electrophysiology service
Please note this information is for clinicians only.
A referral can only be accepted by the Electrophysiology Service at GOSH from a clinician.
This is for non-urgent cases.
Our referral criteria are:
- Patients aged 0 to 17 years
- Primary concern of a heart rhythm disturbance
- Known or proven arrhythmia such as broad complex tachycardia and heart blocks or other ECG variants.
- Collapse of unknown cause, with no family history of arrhythmia.
- Patients with SVT should be directed to paediatricians with an expertise or a local outreach clinic.
A referral can take the form of the following:
- Referral letter—please include as a minimum a 12 lead ECG and send to gos-tr.referrals@nhs.net with the subject as: Electrophysiology Referral
