Clare Gilbert

Clare is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in hypoglycaemia and congenital hyperinsulinism within the endocrinology team. She first came to Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1998 as a ward nurse, and then found her passion in caring for infants and children with congenital hyperinsulinism. She subsequently assisted in setting up the first NHS England-commissioned centre for this disorder in the UK.

Clare's interests include horse riding, cold water swimming and walking outdoors.
