Peut-Être Theatre at Great Ormond Street Hospital
24 Apr 2017, 10:28 a.m.
Peut-Être Theatre will be undertaking a period of creative research at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in September and October 2017 in partnership with GOSH Arts, patients and families and the Psychological Services Department.
From the Monday 25 September to Friday 13 October Peut-Être Theatre will be based in the Staff side of the Lagoon, developing Tidy Up, an exciting piece of dance theatre for Early Years. Tidy Up is inspired by children’s logic to create order, patterns and systems and will investigate why some of us gravitate towards mess and whether anything can be ordered in the ‘right’ way.
Alongside meetings and workshops with staff from Psychological Services Department and the Play Team, each morning the dancers will host a drop in workshop for families and patients which will inform the development of Tidy Up.
When complete, Tidy Up will be performed during Family Arts Week at GOSH, which takes place in October Half Term and will then tour nationally to art venues across the country.
Peut-Être Theatre is a dance theatre company who bring a surreal poetic aesthetic to the world of children’s theatre. Driven by a desire to create unforgettable early theatrical experiences for young audiences their shows effectively combine the visual, the physical and the musical. Peut-Être Theatre has been touring nationally and internationally since 2008 to venues including Roundhouse, Royal Albert Hall, South Bank Centre and National Theatre.
