Contact the Urology Department
We know that there are occasions when you want to ring us to ask us a question and understand that it can be difficult to know who best to call. We have put together the following list to help you to direct your questions to the right member of the Urology team.
If your child is very unwell, please seek urgent medical care from your GP or your nearest A&E. The team there can contact us directly if they need any additional information.
Contact a team
To contact a team listed below, please:

- Enter the relevant extension number when prompted.
Pre-operative Assessment Team – Ext: 0629
Call the Pre-operative Assessment team if your child is being admitted and you have questions about the operation or procedure planned. This is the nursing team that assesses patients for specialist Urology procedures with an anaesthetic.
Clinical Nurse Specialists for Bladder Exstrophy or General Urology Care – Ext: 5917 or 5916

Urology Admissions Coordinator – Ext: 7986
Call the Admissions Coordinator if you have questions about the practical issues around an admission, such as to change the surgery date, transport, accommodation or interpreters. They can re-send admission letters and information if you have not received it. They cannot answer clinical queries about your child’s health or their planned operation or procedure.
Urology Admin Team - Ext: 5918
Dial the number above if you have questions about practical issues around an outpatient clinic appointment, such as transport and interpreters. We apologise if the service is unable to answer your call first-time as the administrative team has been restructured and down-sized so there may be a delay in response.
