Get Active: Sports and Activity Day is our annual event for patients going through treatment and beyond.
You'll see many staff from the wards, a huge army of volunteers, and people from charities and local sports clubs to help everyone participate in a variety of activities including climbing walls, cycling, athletics, fencing, tennis, ballet, wheelchair basketball, archery, football, cricket and inflatable slides. Face painting and ice creams will add to the fun!

Current and past patients all invited!
This great day out is free to past and present GOSH & UCLH patients who have had treatment for the following conditions: cancer, bone marrow transplant, immunology, haematology and haemophilia. Parents and siblings are also welcome to come and join in.
Boosting confidence and improving recovery
Supported by the Olivia Hodson Cancer Fund and Carole and Geoffrey Lawson Foundation, and run by GOSH's Blood, Cells and Cancer team, the fun-filled day aims to improve the long-term recovery of patients by encouraging them to be more active.
Lucy Waller, GOSH Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist who organises the event, shared:
"Even a small amount of physical activity can boost children and young people's physical and psychosocial recovery, and so this event is about giving families the confidence to give new sports and activities a try, and hopefully find something they enjoy and love to do . We look forward to welcoming you in June ”
