The NIHR Great Ormond Street Hospital Biomedical Research Centre (GOSH BRC) Junior Faculty is pleased to invite ALL early career researchers from across GOSH, the UCL Institute of Child Health (ICH) and our Paediatric Excellence Initiative partner sites to the next session in its Bitesize Seminar Series titled:

Communicating and disseminating your research

The session will be on Tuesday 12 December from 12.30pm – 3pm and will focus on how researchers can effectively and successfully communicate their research. We are very excited to announce our special guest speakers:

  • Lauren Tedaldi - Head of Research and Innovation Communications at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Foundation Trust
  • Ripudaman Bains - Nature Communications Senior Editor in microbiology and infectious diseases
  • Torie Robinson - Podcast Host for Epilepsy Sparks Insights ad Public Speak

This is a hybrid event, all are welcome to join in-person or online. There will be lunch provided from 12.30pm ahead of the seminar that will commence at 1pm. Attendees will also have a chance to talk with the speakers face-to-face over free hot drinks after the seminar.

Background

The NIHR GOSH BRC Junior Faculty is running a seminar series of educational topics for early career researchers. There will be six seminars every year focusing on skills to help give researchers training and networking opportunities to help in their academic careers.

We welcome all early career researcher colleagues including clinicians, PhD students, post-docs, nursing and AHP staff and any others not mentioned here from across GOSH, ICH and our partner sites within the paediatric excellence initiative.

Event

This seminar in the series is on 'Communicating and disseminating your research' and will be held on Tuesday 12 December from 12.30pm – 3pm. It will be a hybrid event, with attendees joining online via Zoom and in-person attendees meeting in the Ryan Connolly Room in the Zayed Centre for Research.

A light buffet lunch will be provided in the Zayed Centre for Research cafe ahead of the seminar.

1pm – 2.30pm Seminar talks

2.30pm – 3.00pm Networking and refreshments

Networking with speakers over refreshments in the Zayed Centre for Research cafe.
