Qualifications

After qualifying as an Orthoptist at the University of Sheffield, Sian completed her MSc in Clinical Ophthalmology at the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology. Sian holds dual HCPC registration as both an Orthoptist and a Clinical Scientist in Ophthalmic and Vision Science. Sian is currently an NIHR clinical doctoral research fellow.

Research Interests

Sian has an active research interest in visual impairment in children as a result of brain injury/pathology. The NIHR awarded her a research fellowship to pursue research in homonymous hemianopia in childhood. This research is part of the Eyes and Vision Group at the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health.
