Rachel Andrews
She trained in paediatric and fetal cardiology at Great Ormond Street and Guy’s & St Thomas’ Hospitals, and prior to taking up her current appointment, worked as a locum consultant in both units.
Interests include factors affecting outcomes of structural and functional heart disease, and in particular use of echo as a prognostic tool. She also lectures on medical ethics and works with several charities including Chain of Hope.

Dr Andrews is currently co-ordinating the five year follow-up of the national Heart Failure from Heart Muscle Disease in Children study, on behalf of the British Congenital Cardiac Association.
