Michelle Wyatt

Miss Michelle Wyatt is a specialist in paediatric otorhinolaryngology (ENT surgery). She was appointed as a consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) in 2004 and has particular interest in airway reconstruction and craniofacial abnormalities.

Qualifications

Miss Wyatt gained her medical qualification from Cambridge University in 1992. Her basic surgical training included attachments in neurosurgery, orthopaedics and general surgery but it was six months at GOSH that directed her future career.

Higher surgical training was carried out in the North Thames region over six years working at Charing Cross, St Mary’s and the Royal National Throat Nose and Ear Hospitals.

She completed a one year paediatric ENT fellowship at Great Ormond Street. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons gaining the highest mark in their exit exam for her year.

She is a member of the British Association of Paediatric Otolaryngologists, ENT-UK, the British Cochlear Implant Group and the Royal Society of Medicine.

Research Interests

Airway management in children with acquired and congenital anomalies, Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis and surgical aspects of cochlear implantation.
