Emma Ninnis
Emma first came to Great Ormond Street in 2002 to carry out her nurse training, where she is now a clinical nurse specialist specialising in complex epilepsy.

Since qualifying as a nurse in 2005, Emma has worked with children and young adults with complex neurological conditions and complex epilepsy at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

"I appreciate and fully understand the wide-ranging impact epilepsy can have on family life and children's development. The fluctuating nature of epilepsy also means that the support needs of children and families can change over time. As a result of my experience I greatly value and appreciate how vital it is to meet the holistic needs of each patient and their family and how this can only be achieved through an effective multidisciplinary team approach, which helps meet each patient’s evolving health and social care needs. It is a huge privilege working with the Epilepsy team and incredibly rewarding specialty to care for."
