Who you will meet
Cheetah is run by our experienced clinic staff, comprising of:
- Health Care Assistant or Nurse
- Senior Staff Nurses
- Learning Disability Nurse
- Sister
- Health Care Support Workers
- Receptionists
- Play Team
Many specialty clinics involve seeing a number of clinicians who each specialise in one area – you appointment letter will tell you which members of the team will be seeing your child.

Ward Information
When you arrive
Please check in at the Cheetah reception desk so we know that you have arrived and then take a seat in the waiting area.
Most clinic appointments start with one of our Health Care Assistants or Nurses carrying out some checks, which usually involve height and weight and urine dipstick tests.
Once the Health Care Assistant or Nurse has done this, the clinician will come to the waiting area and call your child’s name when they are ready.
Facilities
There are 14 consulting rooms within Cheetah.
There are toilet facilities within Cheetah. An assisted toilet with a hoist is located in the Southwood Building. You can use the water fountain in the waiting area and food and beverages are available in the Lagoon canteen.
The play area in Cheetah has a range of activities for children and young people of all ages – it is not always supervised during clinic times. Please keep an eye on your child while they are waiting – you are responsible for their behaviour at all times.
