Alligator Endocrine and Metabolic Ward
Alligator Endocrine and Metabolic Ward (endo met) is a six bedded ward which cares for infants and children.
There are an additional two cubicles for day case patients who do not need to stay on the ward overnight.
Each patient has their own cubicle with ensuite bathroom facilities.

Alligator Endocrine and Metabolic Ward, is on Level 4 of the Premier Inn Clinical Building (PICB).

Who you will meet
Alligator Endocrine and Metabolic Ward is primarily run by our highly qualified nursing team who are experienced in caring for children and infants with both Endocrine and Metabolic conditions. Our nursing team works closely with Clinical Nurse Specialists, Consultants, Physiotherapists, Dietitians, Psychologists and Play Specialists.

Facilities
Each bedspace has space for one parent or carer to stay on a fold out bed, unfortunately we do not have the space for a second parent/carer to stay.
Visiting times for non-resident parent or carers are 7am to 10pm.
Other visitors can visit the ward 7am to 8pm.
Alligator Endo Met has a playroom with toys, games and crafts which you can use during your stay. Our specialist play team can provide age-appropriate play opportunities and help to prepare children for any procedures.
Each bedspace has a TV for access to channels, films and the internet, as well as Wi-Fi so you can connect your own device.
You are a valued member of your child’s healthcare team, and we encourage you to take part their care as much as possible during your stay with us.
Meals will be provided for patients during your stay.
Meals are not provided for parents on the ward but please ask the nursing and housekeeping team during your stay for available voucher schemes. Food and drink can be bought from the Lagoon restaurant and surrounding local area. You are welcome to bring in your own food and drink as there is also a parent’s kitchen which contains a fridge and microwave.
