Dispatch and handling instructions
Disease burden by flow cytometry must be >20%, in the same sample, to be suitable for screening and MRD assay development. Please follow collection requirements as applicable to individual patient trial guidelines. If patient is not on trial, or sample is diagnostic: 9mL ACD-A tube will be sufficient for flow cytometry, MRD and cell storage. If patient is leukopenic additional volume may be required. Internal GOSH patients will have any excess sample biobanked at GOSH. A second trephine can be taken if patient is leukopenic, a haemodilute sample or dry tap. Samples should be sent at room temperature and arrive at GOSH within 72 hours of collection
