Titred 1:160 to 1:2560. May be non-specifically raised in infection. If positive, laboratory will automatically proceed to check antibodies to dsDNA (more than1:160) and ENAs (more than1:320) if not done recently
Specimen requirement
1ml serum / serum gel. Serological assays may be affected by icteric/lipaemic/haemolysed samples. These should be avoided if possible
