Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr Holan Liang is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and a co-Lead of the Tic Disorder Service. She is an Honorary Associate Professor at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. She has previously been a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust and Clinical Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience. Her special interests are neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, learning difficulty, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome) and their overlap with genetics and psychiatric co-morbidity.

Consultant Psychologist

Dr Tara Murphy is a Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist. She is a co-Lead of the Tic Disorder Service and the Neuropsychology Services. Tara has worked at GOSH since 2003 across paediatric psychology and neuropsychology services and specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with tic disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions and neurological illness.

Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychologist

Dr Sara Shavel-Jessop is a Consultant Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist, and Co-Lead of the Tic Disorder Service and Neuropsychology Services. She has worked in GOSH since 2005 across paediatric psychology and neuropsychology services and specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with tics, neurodevelopmental disorders, and neurological conditions (especially epilepsy). Dr Shavel-Jessop is an Honorary Associate Professor at UCL, and the Programme Director for the UCL MSc/PGDip in Paediatric Neuropsychology.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Eve McAllister is a Principal Clinical Psychologist. She has worked in GOSH for several years and prior to this has worked in local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with Tics, neurodevelopmental disorders and co-occurring mental health problems.

Senior Clinical Psychologist

Dr Nimmi Parikh is a Senior Clinical Psychologist. She has worked in GOSH for several years within Paediatric Health and specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and prior to this worked in community CAMHS. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with Tics, neurodevelopmental disorders and co-occurring mental health problems.

Senior Clinical Psychologist

Dr Maria Hadji-Michael is a Senior Clinical Psychologist. She has been working at GOSH since 2016 and has been working with children and young people in the NHS for the last 10 years both in community CAMHS teams, specialist hospitals and schools. She has specialist experience in the assessment and treatment of young people with tics as well as carrying out cognitive assessments and ASD assessments.

Senior Clinical Psychologist

Dr Andrea Stoltenberg is a Senior Clinical Psychologist. She has been at GOSH since 2022 and has been working with children, adolescents, and adults in the NHS for the last 7 years, including different community CAMHS teams and schools. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with Tics, neurodevelopmental conditions and co-occurring mental health difficulties.

Honorary Clinical Psychologist

Dr Morvwen Duncan is a Senior Clinical Psychologist. She has been at GOSH since 2020 working across the Tic Disorder Service and Attachment and Trauma Team. Morvwen has been working with children, adolescents and adults in the NHS for the last 8 years. She specialises in the assessment of children with tic disorders, functional tics and co-occurring mental health difficulties.

Assistant Psychologist

Lila Simpson is an Assistant Psychologist. She started working at GOSH in 2022 and prior to that worked in forensic and acute inpatient mental health services. She has experience of working with patients with severe and enduring mental health difficulties.

Consultant Clinical Psychologist

Dr Patricia Rios is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist and Honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital and national and international accredited trainer for the ADI-R and ADOS-2. Dr Patricia Rios has over 30 years’ experience in working with families and their children with neurodevelopmental presentations and her special interest is in providing multidisciplinary assessment to children and young people presenting with neurodevelopmental conditions and their co-morbidities. She is actively involved in teaching and supervising the ADI-R and ADOS-2 within the NHS and privately nationally and internationally. She has been trained in PEERS - Program for the Education and Enrichment of Relational Skills and Socially Thinking methodology and uses these approaches in delivering psycho-education workshops and treatment in the NHS and independent sectors.

Consultant Clinical Psychologist

Jane Gilmour is an Honorary Consultant Clinical Psychologist at the Tic Disorder Service, Great Ormond Street Hospital, London. She is programme director of the Infancy and Early Childhood Development MSc at the Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, University College London. She lectures for a variety of post graduate programmes on neuropsychology, neurodevelopmental conditions (Tourette’s Syndrome, ADHD, Autism and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder) and evidence-based interventions for children, young people and their families. She has extensive academic publishing record and has a passion for public engagement.

Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr Jenny Parker is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist with a NHS Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service as well as Honorary Consultant at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children with the National Tic Disorders Service. She has over 18 years’ experience working in child and adolescent psychiatry in the NHS, as well as in the Specialist Education and Care Sectors.

Dr Parker is an elected member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Child & Adolescent Psychiatry Faculty Executive Committee, and is the Neurodevelopmental Disorders representative on the Royal College of Psychiatry Autism Group and Neurodevelopmental Psychiatry Special Interest Group.

Dr Parker has been involved in teaching and training of junior doctors and non-medical colleagues across health, care and education sectors.
