Dr Holan Liang

Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr Holan Liang is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist and a co-Lead of the Tic Disorder Service. She is an Honorary Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Child Health, University College London. She has previously been a Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist at the South London & Maudsley NHS Trust and Clinical Research Fellow at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience. Her special interests are neurodevelopmental disorders (ADHD, learning difficulty, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Tourette’s Syndrome) and their overlap with genetics and psychiatric co-morbidity.

Dr Tara Murphy

Consultant Psychologist

Dr Tara Murphy is a Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist. She is a co-Lead of the Tic Disorder Service and the Neuropsychology Services. Tara has worked at GOSH since 2003 across paediatric psychology and neuropsychology services and specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with tic disorders, neurodevelopmental conditions and neurological illness.

Dr Sara Shavel Jessop

Consultant Paediatric Neuropsychologist

Dr Sara Shavel-Jessop is a Consultant Neuropsychologist and Clinical Psychologist, and Co-Lead of the Tic Disorder Service and Neuropsychology Services. She has worked in GOSH since 2005 across paediatric psychology and neuropsychology services and specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with tics, neurodevelopmental disorders, and neurological conditions (especially epilepsy). Dr Shavel-Jessop is an Honorary Associate Professor at UCL, and the Programme Director for the UCL MSc/PGDip in Paediatric Neuropsychology.

Dr Sacha Evans

Consultant Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist

Dr Sacha Evans is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist who has worked at GOSH for a number of years. She completed her training as part of the Great Ormond Street/Royal London Hospitals higher training scheme in child and adolescent psychiatry. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with tics and co-occurring mental health problems and has an interest in functional disorders.

Dr Eve McAllister is a Principal Clinical Psychologist. She has worked in GOSH for several years and prior to this has worked in local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with Tics, neurodevelopmental disorders and co-occurring mental health problems.

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Nimmi Parikh is a Senior Clinical Psychologist. She has worked in GOSH for several years within Paediatric Health and specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services (CAMHS) and prior to this worked in community CAMHS. She specialises in the assessment and treatment of children with Tics, neurodevelopmental disorders and co-occurring mental health problems.

Dr Morvwen Duncan

Clinical Psychologist

Dr Morvwen Duncan is a Senior Clinical Psychologist. She has been at GOSH since 2020 working across the Tic Disorder Service and Attachment and Trauma Team. Morvwen has been working with children, adolescents and adults in the NHS for the last 8 years. She specialises in the assessment of children with tic disorders, functional tics and co-occurring mental health difficulties.

Dr Maria Hadji-Michael is a Senior Clinical Psychologist. She has been working at GOSH since 2016 and has been working with children in the NHS for the last 10 years. She has specialist experience in working with children with tic disorders and their families.
