Emergency algorithms

The UK National Tracheostomy Safety Project (NTSP) has developed paediatric emergency algorithms that are in use for children with tracheostomies at GOSH. The algorithm outlines directions for initial and advanced responses to emergencies, and should be kept by the patient’s bed or in the tracheostomy emergency box for any child with a tracheostomy.

More information can be found on National Tracheostomy Safety Project website, and the full algorithms can be downloaded here (from the NTPS website).
