NIHR GOSH BRC Theme Lead - Applied Child Health Informatics - Call for applications
We are inviting expressions of interest from current GOSH or ICH staff for the Applied Child Health Informatics (ACHI) leadership position within the BRC.
This follows Professor Neil Sebire's decision to step down on March 31 2025, when he will have completed the maximum allowed time as Theme Lead within an NIHR BRC (two terms, 10 years).
Duration of posts
The ACHI theme lead post will be available from the April 01 2025 and would be offered until the end of the BRC term (March 31 2028) in the first instance. The post holder will be expected to lead the development of the ACHI theme plans for the next BRC, in collaboration with the BRC Director, and remain in post into the next BRC if the application is successful.
Theme Lead Application
For anyone applying for the ACHI theme lead role, expressions of interest should include your CV, a list of your best publications (maximum 20), your h-factor, and a statement (maximum two A4 sides, minimum font 11), covering the following points:
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an interview where you will be asked to give a presentation and answer questions about the information covered in your expression of interest. The interview panel will include BRC/GOSH/ICH leaders/managers. You will also be asked to attend a stakeholder panel, where you will participate in a wider discussion with a range of key BRC stakeholders.
We aim to hold interviews in the week beginning March 24 however this could be pushed to the following week depending on availability.
The BRC will lead this recruitment process with support from GOSH HR.
