Innovation Informals is a new event series to introduce early career researchers at GOSH and ICH to innovation and enterprise.There will be a chance to find out more about the support available here at ICH and network with members of UCL Business, UCL Translational Research Office, UCL Innovation & Enterprise and UCL Business & Innovation teams.

Attendees will be be able to find out more about key terms including patentability and freedom to operate and learn about the difference between an assignment and a licence. We will also discuss when and why to form a spin-out company.

The event will start with brief introductions from representatives of each team followed by a networking session that will provide an opportunity to ask questions and discuss aspects of innovation, translational research and industrial partnerships.

This event is organised by the NIHR GOSH Biomedical Research Centre for the benefit of students and early career researchers here at ICH and GOSH. Light refreshments will be provided.
