Falcon Outpatients

Falcon is on the ground floor of the Zayed Centre for Research at 20 Guilford Street, around the corner from the main hospital building. It is our newest outpatient area and opened in 2019.

Specialties holding clinics in the Zayed Centre for Research include: Respiratory, Immunology, Cardiology, Inherited Cardiology, Paediatric Genetics, Dermatology, Infectious Diseases, General Surgery, Endocrine and Rheumatology.

Falcon has two levels. On the ground floor there are 9 consulting rooms, including a lung function and negative pressure room. On the first floor there are 13 consulting rooms, five echocardiogram (echo) rooms and two electrocardiogram (ECG) rooms. The first floor also has a sensory room, which provides a restful environment to reduce sensory overload.

Who you will meet

Falcon is run by our experienced clinic staff, comprising Clinic Assistants, Health Care Assistants, Phlebotomists, Staff Nurses, Senior Staff Nurses, and a Sister.

Facilities

There are two levels within Falcon: on the ground floor, there are nine consulting rooms, including a lung function and negative pressure room. On the 1st floor there are 13 consulting rooms, five echocardiogram (echo) rooms and two electrocardiogram (ECG) rooms. We also have interview rooms for confidential conversations or a quieter space to wait.

There are toilet facilities within Falcon including a disabled toilet with hoist. There are also baby changing facilities and a room where you can feed your baby.

The play area on Falcon has a range of activities for children and young people of all ages – it is supervised during clinics by members of the Play team supported by Play Volunteers. There is also a sensory room which you can use for a more restful wait. Please keep an eye on your child while they are waiting – you are responsible for their behaviour at all times.
