The summer edition of ‘The Look Inside’ is out!
9 Jul 2025, 4 p.m.
As part of the Children’s Cancer Centre (CCC) showcase in June, we launched the new edition of our children’s magazine ‘The Look Inside’. Pick up your copy when you're next at the hospital!
Our showcase marked the beginning of construction works for the CCC. For the occasion, we transformed the Lagoon area into a lovely space filled with art, games, sports and music. While the grown-ups had the opportunity to learn more about the CCC, the children and young people could enjoy fun activities, from colouring and playing Lego, to making their own smoothie with the smoothie bike.
At the event, we launched the new edition of our children’s magazine ‘The Look Inside’. With the construction works going on, the hospital may feel a little bit different. You might be able to see diggers, pulverisers, and other machines from some ward windows. You may also hear some noise outside. This magazine aims to help children understand what's happening and why we’re building the CCC, through fun games and activities.
The summer edition features Pete the Pulveriser telling us what his day looks like, a matching game with Pete’s friends, a maze, as well as a word search showcasing what will be in the CCC. There is also a colouring activity for kids to design their own traffic marshal outfit, and another one for them to design their own construction site, with fun stickers!
The Look Inside is created by the CCC team and comes out every four months. You can collect your copy at our reception areas at the main hospital, Sight and Sound, Royal London Hospital for Integrated Medicine and the Zayed Centre for Research.
Your feedback on the magazine is very welcome! Please email us at ccc@gosh.nhs.uk.
