Sir Michael Rake joins Great Ormond Street Hospital as new Chairman

Sir Michael Rake, formerly Chairman of the BT Group plc, has joined Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) as the new Chairman.Sir Michael brings to GOSH a wealth of leadership experience in business and service industries at KPMG, easyJet, BT and the CBI. He is a Senior Business Adviser at the Chamber of Commerce and Chatham House, and Vice President of the RNIB.

Sir Michael said: “I am honoured to be given this opportunity to serve such a well-loved organisation which makes a dramatic difference to the lives of children with rare diseases in the UK and elsewhere. It will be a great privilege to work with leading clinicians and researchers who deliver world-class care and pioneering research in collaboration with key partners.”
