Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children NHS Trust (GOSH) is looking for a new Non-Executive Director to focus on finance

At Great Ormond Street Hospital, we care for some of the most seriously ill children in the UK and beyond.

We are a world-leading centre of excellent in paediatric healthcare, research and education. With nearly 300,000 patient visits each year, we provide specialised care to children and young people with rare and complex conditions.

We are currently seeking a Non-Executive Director with a strong financial background either with an accounting qualification or experience of sitting on an Audit Committee. You will have substantial Board-level experience in large, complex, and evolving organisations, and a proven ability to scrutinise risk, ensure value for money, and contribute meaningfully to strategic development.

This is a pivotal moment at our hospital, with construction underway on the new Children’s Cancer Centre we are entering a transformative phase in the development of our estate. As we revise our Estate Masterplan to shape the future of our central London site, we are seeking a candidate who also has substantial experience in property management and development to help ensure our facilities continue to support the delivery of safe, high-quality care.

The successful candidate will serve on the Finance and Performance Committee as well as our Audit Committee.

About the role

This role requires a commitment of approximately two to three days per month.

Remuneration is in line with NHS Foundation Trust guidelines and will be discussed with shortlisted candidates.
