GOSH Learning Academy and Middlesex University Celebrate NHSE Accreditation of MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Paediatrics and Child Health)
14 Nov 2025, 9:43 a.m.
We are proud to announce that our MSc Advanced Clinical Practice (Paediatrics and Child Health) programme, delivered in partnership between the GOSH Learning Academy and Middlesex University, has achieved formal accreditation from NHS England’s Centre for Advancing Practice.
This endorsement is a national benchmark of excellence, confirming the programme’s alignment with the Multi-professional Framework for Advanced Practice in England (2025) and NHS England’s rigorous standards for education and training.
This is currently the only accredited paediatric advanced practice programme in the London region accepting new learners presenting a unique opportunity for healthcare professionals looking to advance their careers.
Why this matters
- Accreditation assures employers that graduates deliver high-quality, holistic care across the four pillars of advanced practice.
- The programme is multi-professional, flexible, and co-designed with patients and carers, ensuring real-world relevance and patient-centred outcomes.
- Graduates will be eligible to join the national directory of advanced practitioners, reinforcing professional recognition.
We are especially proud to have received a commendation for our commitment to patient and employer co-production. By collaborating with children, young people, families, and employers, we have developed a programme that meets national standards and real-world needs. This co-production ensures graduates are prepared to meet the unique challenges of caring for children and young people, improving their health and wellbeing.
The curriculum aligns with the Paediatric and Child Health Advanced Practice Area Specific Capability and Curriculum Framework (2024), equipping learners for evidence-based care across diverse paediatric settings. Competencies are assessed through a work-based portfolio, demonstrating practical skills and professional growth.
