This innovative one-day course series provides an in-depth review of specific congenital heart diseases with echo/ anatomy correlation through Virtual Reality experience.

Event Overview:

Led by a multi-disciplinary team of Consultants, Morphologists and Engineers from GOSH and UCL, this unique training offers an in-depth and focus review of several congenital cardiac anomalies.

This 3rd edition will be focusing on a wide range of simple and complex heart diseases through:

  • Echo /anatomy correlation through our unique, immersive VR experience
  • Access to anatomical lab with hands-on sessions

Led by VheaRts - a collaborative project between researchers from University College London and clinicians at Great Ormond Street Hospital

Learning objectives:

  • To understand the anatomical variability in the congenital heart diseases and the challenges of repair.
  • To identify the relevant information with echocardiography and understand the 3D anatomy from 2D echo images.
  • To familiarise working with VR technology for future learning and planning.

Who should attend:

The course is aimed at Resident Doctors, Cardiac Physiologists, Echo Sonographers and Consultants in paediatric cardiology and adult congenital heart disease specialists.

No previous VR experience is required.
