We are delighted to announce the first National UK Paediatric Course on Epidermal Differentiation Disorders (EDDs), a one-day multidisciplinary educational meeting led by the paediatric dermatology medical and nursing team at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

Event Overview:

The programme will also include contributions from Professor Jemima Mellerio from Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust and Professor Edel O’Toole from Barts Health NHS Trust, alongside representatives from the Ichthyosis Support Group and Cure EI.

Designed for paediatric dermatologists, dermatologists, paediatricians, trainees, nurses and allied health professionals involved in paediatric care, the meeting will bring together national experts in the management of paediatric EDDs to share current best practice, clinical experience and emerging developments in the field.

The programme will focus primarily on practical day-to-day management and multidisciplinary care, while also introducing selected areas of current and future research relevant to improving outcomes for children and families living with EDDs.

Learning objectives:

This course aims to develop participants’ understanding of the new classification and clinical spectrum of epidermal differentiation disorders and to enhance their confidence in the multidisciplinary management of children with these conditions.

By the end of the meeting, delegates will have improved their knowledge of the evolving diagnostic framework for EDDs, current evidence-based treatment approaches and practical day-to-day management strategies used in paediatric practice.
