Leadership in Advancing Practice Study Day

The Advancing Practice (AP) education team at the GOSH Learning Academy deliver a portfolio of training across the four pillars of advancing practice.

We aim to deliver CPD education to all registered professionals wishing to expand their practice through our Advancing Practice series. We offer courses to develop a learner’s portfolio in Clinical Practice, Leadership, Research and Education.

AP Series - Education

Join us to explore the education pillar of advancing practice. We will focus on innovative and practical approaches to enhance teaching and learning in healthcare settings. Designed for a multi-professional audience across all levels of practice, this event will delve into strategies that support both clinical and academic theory. Participants will gain valuable insights into effective educational techniques that can be applied in real-world clinical environments, ultimately driving improved learning outcomes and supporting professional development across the healthcare workforce. All teaching faculty are experts in education delivery with both clinical and academic experience.

The day will be broken down into two key themes. Education; mastering the fundamentals and Education; think differently.

You will explore education theories, current challenges of educating in clinical settings, frameworks, innovative developments and design strategies, evaluation and a professional spotlight.

Multiprofessional Paediatric Study Day, led by Physician Associates

The 3rd annual GOSH Multiprofessional Paediatric Study Day, led by Physician Associates is specifically designed to provide the latest updates on current management strategies for common paediatric conditions. This year the sessions focus on managing the unwell child.

The study day aims to increase your knowledge and understanding of clinical paediatrics through a variety of interactive case-based lectures and sessions from experts at GOSH.

Safe Prescribing in Children and Young People

This half day virtual update course is for all prescribers who routinely prescribe medicines for children and young people. You will explore contemporaneous issues and challenges in initiating, monitoring, and modifying medicines to develop and maintain safe and effective prescribing practices. You will network with other independent prescribers and discuss topics and pathways on a national level.
