Overview
The major focus of this module will be to develop the learners’ knowledge and confidence required to provide effective holistic palliative care to children and young people. Communication tools needed to compassionately engage with patients and their families will be explored and we will look closely at complex symptom management. Evaluation of local policies and reflection on patient encounters will be utilised to consider the application of the content learned. The assessment will encourage evidence-based local education or change to practice.
