The aim of this module is to equip practitioners with the knowledge necessary to effectively assess and manage metabolic and endocrine conditions in paediatric patients. By the end of the module, learners will gain a comprehensive understanding of the pathophysiology, clinical presentation, diagnostic approaches, and evidence-based management strategies for a range of paediatric metabolic and endocrine disorders. Through interactive lectures, case-based discussions, and practical workshops - learners will develop knowledge in the application of national endocrine guidelines and protocols to optimise patient care. Furthermore, this module aims to foster critical thinking, communication skills, and interdisciplinary collaboration essential for delivering holistic and patient-centred care to children and young people with metabolic and endocrine conditions.
