Caring for Children and Young People Undergoing Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT)
The major focus of this module of study is the development of skills required to care for children and young people undergoing Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant (HSCT).
Overview
The aim of this module is to provide the learner with the theory that underpins haematopoietic stem cell transplant (HSCT). Learners will learn to critically analyse the side effects of treatment to deliver appropriate care to the child or young person and their family.
This module will provide the learner with the essential knowledge and skills to assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of the patient and family undergoing HSCT.
