Mental Health and Psychological Development of Children and Young People
This module aims to provide learners with an opportunity to develop their knowledge, skills and competence in relation to caring for children and young people with mental health conditions.
Overview
This module aims to enhance the practitioner’s knowledge and understanding of child psychological development theory and the use of evidence-based practice within paediatric mental health care. This module is in-line with NHS England’s aims of enhancing both clinical and non-clinical staff's mental health skills within a paediatric setting, equipping them with the necessary attributes to challenge their practice and evaluate their care aligned with evidence-based research.
