Fundamental Care of Children and Young People

This module aims to develop learners underpinning knowledge in key areas of paediatric anatomy and physiology, specific medical conditions seen in children and young people and the evidence-based treatments and interventions used in practice. The module seeks to enable learners to critically analyse the impact of illness upon the child and family and practice their newly learned knowledge and skills within a simulated learning environment and clinical practice. We welcome practitioners who may not have a paediatric background or who wish to gain a qualification in paediatric healthcare practice.
