What does being a governor mean to you?

I hope it will help me understand the working of the hospital better and contribute to positive change.

What are you looking forward to in your role as a governor?

To meet all the committed people who are governors.

What lasting impact would you like to leave as a governor?

To influence and promote sustainable change in the hospital and NHS practices.

What do you admire about GOSH?

The staff care deeply about the children and families and want the best care for them.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Reading, baking, walking in nature (with our dog), going to art galleries and the local pub quiz.

People don't know that...

I married my oldest friend - as a marriage celebrant.

What does being a governor mean to you?

To be able to contribute effectively to the future direction of GOSH.

What are you looking forward to in your role as a governor?

Being closely involved and holding the NED's to account.

What lasting impact would you like to leave as a governor?

Helping to make GOSH the best children’s hospital in the world.

What do you admire about GOSH?

The commitment of the Staff to their work with children and families.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Planning where to go for my next holiday.

People don't know that...

I am not a good cook, but I really enjoy eating cuisine from different parts of the world.

Conscientious, caring and kind.

What does being a governor mean to you?

Having the opportunity to serve the interests of patients and staff.

What are you looking forward to in your role as a governor?

Being able to learn about key projects taking place in the Trust and make a contribution in the decision making process.

What lasting impact would you like to leave as a governor?

That I have effectively represented the opinions and needs of the staff and contributed to positive improvements for the staff working environment, patient experience and for the Trust as a whole.

What do you admire about GOSH?

It is an environment that strives towards excellence.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Playing piano, dancing and visiting art galleries and the theatre.

I'm a history buff and I enjoy watching films from the 1940s and 1950s.

What does being a governor mean to you?

Advocating for GOSH staff and playing an active role in decisions made about our hospital.

What are you looking forward to in your role as a governor?

Understanding more about how the hospital works behind the scenes. Meeting more of my colleagues.

What lasting impact would you like to leave as a governor?

Making GOSH an even better place to work.

What do you admire about GOSH?

Constantly evolving to ensure staff, patients and families have the best possible experience.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Reading and being outdoors, walking our dog and keeping fit.

I would like to offer my experience with the Trust and patients.

Tolerance, team building and supporting as a team player.

It is a friendly, patient’ led organisation.

What do you enjoy doing in your spare time?

Research, ethnic cooking.
