January 2023
Wednesday 18th January 2023
The aim of this ½ day course is to support those within the organisation with soft skills, hints, and tips to applying for new roles. The course will be free of charge for GOSH Internal Staff only, we plan to pilot this with band 2-5 delegates. This is part of a GLA initiative not only to support and develop staff from within the organisation but also to maintain the retention of our staff as we recognise the need for people to develop within their teams and roles.
Paediatric Critical Care Course - Neonatal

Neonatal Intensive Care will take place on the following dates: 30th and 31st January, 1st, 2nd and 3rd February 2023. All dates must be attended.

Advances in Paediatric Dialysis
Thursday 2nd February 2023
This 2-day virtual conference is aimed at doctors and nurses working with children on dialysis. This conference forms part of the core curriculum for training in Paediatric Dialysis as outlined by IPNA, ESPN and ERKNet.
From the basic principles of PD and HD to state-of-the-art lectures, this is your opportunity to hear experts discuss the care of children on dialysis. Also, CKD-MBD treatment and the nutritional management of children with CKD and on dialysis will be discussed.

Based on the MRCPCH clinical examination - experience mock exam conditions and gain valuable feedback on the following:
Communication skills
History taking
Clinical examination
Child developmental assessment
Time management
In preparation for this mock exam, we will be hosting an Exam Tips & Skills Session prior to the mock, where you will be given guidance and information on how the mock examination runs.

The GOSH Paediatric Difficult Airway Course is aimed for anaesthetic consultants and trainees that wish to develop, improve and update their skills on the management of children with difficult airway. The focus of the day is to give you hands on experience and to share our expertise. Airway specialist consultant paediatric anaesthetists will present short lectures before you have the opportunity to practice with difficult airway devices and techniques. The management of real paediatric difficult airway cases will be discussed in small groups giving everyone a chance to share experiences.
