This 'CAST: CATS Stabilisation for Transport' course is designed for clinical teams involved in the initial management and stabilisation of critically ill children in the District General Hospital or Accident and Emergency (A&E) setting.
Overview
Designed for clinical teams involved in the initial management and stabilisation of critically ill children in the District General Hospital or Accident and Emergency (A&E) setting.
It aims to tutor the knowledge, skills, and confidence required in the recognition, resuscitation, and stabilisation for transfer of critically ill children. Places are allotted for Paediatric, Anaesthetic, and A&E nurses and doctors in order to replicate a realistic team makeup. A special focus is placed on the importance of team performance
