CLOSED: ATSMTD programme has been launched to support post doctoral early career scientists to undertake a placement at an external laboratory.

Internal GOSH and ICH applicants only

The scheme aims to enhance their research skills or will develop a collaborative project, the scheme should facilitate the transfer of key technologies, encourage collaboration and the development of new partnerships. We expect placements would last from 2 to 4 weeks, a maximum funding allowance of £5,000 per placement is available. Whilst we will accept any application, they will be ranked by alignment to the Advanced Treatments for Structural Malformation and Tissue Damage (ATSMTD) theme – so applications out of scope are not likely to be a prioritised. 

NB: This scheme does not support applications for travel to scientific meetings/conferences or for visits to give presentations and/or to search for positions of employment. This scheme cannot be used as a means of extending a position of employment, or studentship, beyond its normal termination date. Applications to support the cost of consumables will not be considered.

Application Process

Applications will be reviewed by a panel including the Theme Lead and other senior faculty members. Please complete the application form and return to the BRC ( with a copy of your CV (2 pages max).
