GOS ICH requires an Athena Swan Coordinator to support with the development of the next Athena SWAN application in March 2020. The role holder will primarily be responsible for collating and analysing our staffing and survey data and interpreting this to advise and guide the focus of equality initiatives.

Duties and Responsibilities
This new post will provide focused Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) support to the UCL Great Ormond Street Institute of Child Health, particularly in relation to Athena SWAN. Working closely with the Departmental EDI Lead and the Deputy Institute Manager, you will provide high-level support for the work of our focus groups, monitor the delivery of our EDI action plan and report on staff data through high-level reports and briefings.
This post is funded for 1 year in the first instance, with the potential for extension.
You will be able to demonstrate good knowledge and understanding of EDI issues and challenges and an awareness of Athena SWAN charter submissions - the Higher Education Sector wide gender equality chart mark. You will be able to work independently, using your initiative to prioritise work under the pressure of competing demands and tight deadlines while maintaining high standards. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively and professionally with staff across the Institute and with our partners.
