Robert Evans

Mr Robert D. Evans is a Consultant Orthodontist and has worked at Great Ormond Street Hospital in the Craniofacial and Maxillofacial/Dental Units since 1995.

"I work as a member of two teams who treat children born with complex craniofacial anomalies. The overall aim is to allow these children to develop as normally as possible and have a fulfilling life."

Orthodontic management of children/adolescents with complex facial deformities and complicated medical problems. Specifically:

  • complex craniosynostosis (Apert, Crouzon, Pfeiffer and related syndromes)

  • hemifacial microsomia

  • Treacher Collins syndrome

  • Complex facial clefts

  • Beckwith Wiedemann syndrome with macroglossia

Qualifications and training

Mr Evans undertook his undergraduate training at King’s College, London and King’s College Hospital Dental School. Specialist training followed at Cardiff Dental School and after a four-year period as a lecturer/senior registrar at Guy’s Hospital, London, he was appointed as a Consultant Orthodontist at Great Ormond Street Hospital in 1994.
