Emma McGibbon

Dr Emma McGibbon is a Specialist Clinical Psychologist. She has worked within the Neurodisability Service at Great Ormond Street Hospital since 2009.

She has worked with the multidisciplinary team to provide specialist assessments within the Neurodevelopmental Assessment Clinic, Developmental Epilepsy Clinic, Neurometabolic Clinic and the Developmental Vision Service. Prior to this she worked in a local Child Development Team in Camden.


  • Assessment and diagnosis of children with complex neurodevelopmental disorders, including autism spectrum disorder, learning difficulties and executive difficulties including ADHD
  • Neuropsychological assessment and developmental aspects of childhood epilepsy
  • Assessing the development of children with visual impairment
  • Developmental and neuropsychological assessment of inherited metabolic disorders


Qualifications and training

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (University of East London)  
  • BSc (Psychology, University of Glasgow)  

Membership of professional bodies

  • Chartered Clinical Psychologist (British Psychological Society, BPS) CPsychol
  • Registered Practitioner Psychologist, Professional Health Council
