Dr Gibson’s areas of expertise include neonatal procedures, vascular anomalies and renovascular disease.

Dr Gibson says “Interventional radiology uses image guidance technologies to perform minimally invasive procedures which significantly reduce recovery times and hospital stays. Dr Gibson holds the following qualifications: MBBS (Hons) and FRANZCR. He trained in the Department of Radiology at the Royal Perth Hospital in Australia. He completed a fellowship in paediatric radiology at the Princess Margaret Hospital for Children in Australia before undertaking a dual clinical fellowship in paediatric radiology and paediatric interventional radiology at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Canada. Before joining GOSH, he was a Consultant in Paediatric Radiology at Princess Margaret Hospital, Australia.

Research and publications

Dr Gibson’s research interests are focused around the management and treatment of childhood hypertension, optimising vascular access, vascular anomalies and novel techniques and procedures. He has had various works published around these research topics.
