Willow, patient and narrator: “There are many wards at Great Ormond Street Hospital, each helping children in different ways. My name is Willow and I’d like to show you around Kingfisher Ward. Let’s go!
“There are eighteen beds on this ward, thirteen for overnight stays. There are recliner chairs for parents to stay overnight.
“This is the play area where you can play with lots of fun toys. My favourite is the colouring in and the computers.
“This is the kitchen were mums and dads can make hot drinks and snacks.”
Donna: “This is our procedure room where we do various investigations for our patients.”
[Willow speaks to Donna, a Staff Nurse on Kingfisher Ward]
Willow: “Donna, what do you like best about working on Kingfisher Ward?”
Donna: “I like playing with the children, giving them their medicines, making sure they’re well and that when they do come back to us they’re all better.”
Willow: “Thanks for everything, nice to see you.
“You can find Kingfisher Ward on Level 3 of the Octav Botnar Wing.”
