Annual General Meeting and Annual Members' Meeting 2019: highlights
Here are some of the key themes shared at the Great Ormond Street AGM and AMM 2019.
On the 1 October 2019, in the company of Sir Michael Rake, the GOSH Chair and Mat Shaw, the GOSH Chief Executive, we reviewed the highlights from the last 12 months.
Sir Michael, opened proceedings and paid tribute to all our staff, patients and families and our new Executive Management team.
Mat began by exploring a new pioneering cancer treatment – CAR T therapy, which GOSH patient Yuvan was the first to receive.
Helen Jameson (Chief Finance Officer), Caroline Anderson (Director HR&OD) Dr Sanjiv Sharma (Medical Director), Claire Cooper-Jones (Lead Governor) also gave updates.
We also celebrated the GOSH Play Street initiative and the two wonderful community events we’ve held this year.
In 2018, we unveiled GOSH DRIVE- our new unit set to improve the outcomes for our patients and the wider healthcare sector through the innovative use of technology.
In January this year, we also launched the ‘Lucy Booth’ - a friendly and accessible early intervention service for patients and families concerned about their mental health.
