Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD)

Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) is a form of depression that tends to affect people during the autumn/winter months.

Due to this it is sometimes also referred to as 'winter depression'.

It is believed that the main trigger for SAD is a lack of exposure to daylight. It is thought that it affects as many as one in 50 people in the UK.
