Somers Clinical Research Facility

The Somers Clinical Research Facility (CRF) is an exciting development for Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and the UCL Institute of Child Health (ICH) and is now in its second successful year of operation.

It provides specialist day care accommodation for children and young people taking part in clinical research studies. This state of the art, purpose built facility is available to all GOSH/ICH staff undertaking clinical research.

We are grateful to Mrs Somers and the JN Somers Charitable Wills Trust for their generous support as well as the Friends of Great Ormond Street Hospital, who have kindly provided the capital costs for this development.

The successful Specialist Biomedical Research Centre grant from the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) provides the revenue costs.
