Our research facilities

In partnership with the UCL Institute of Child Health (ICH), Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) is the largest paediatric centre in Europe dedicated to both clinical and basic science research.

We have world-class facilities available to support paediatric research activity.

We hold NIHR Biomedical Research Centre status in recognition of our leading research. We are the only specialist BRC for paediatrics.
The Somers Clinical Research Facility (CRF) provides state of the art, specialist
day-care accommodation for children taking part in clinical research studies.
The GOSH BRC Translational Biomarker Discovery Facility (GOSomics) supports biomarker discovery and the translation of biomarkers to laboratory based tests.
The GOSH BRD Centre for Translational Genomics (GOSgene) facilitates rapid gene identification in uncharacterised genetic diseases.
This facility supports complex cell and gene therapy clinical trials through provision of manufacturing sites of gene and cell therapy medicinal products.
