The Dietetics department works closely with all clinical teams in the hospital, where nutrition, growth and development may be an issue.

Current research projects include:
- Effect of HIV medication on lipid levels in the body – in conjunction with the Medical Research Centre (MRC) Clinical Trials Unit.
- The MEND lifestyle programme for overweight and obese children and their families.
- Ketogenic diet for epilepsy.
- Refeeding syndrome in anorexia nervosa.
