Daniel Lutman

Dr Daniel Lutman is a Consultant and the Head of Clinical Service for the Children’s Acute Transport Service (CATS) where he has worked for 14 years.

The service supports clinicians from non-specialist hospitals by offering telephone advice and by sending a specialist paediatric intensive care transport team to transfer critically ill infants and children to specialist hospitals. The service is one of the largest in Europe, receiving about 2,200 emergency calls a year from non-specialist hospitals in North Thames, Norfolk, Suffolk and Cambridge and transporting about 1,200 critically ill infants and children to specialist hospitals each year.
