The Trust welcomes the publication of the Care Quality Commission’s latest review, which shows that we are meeting all the essential standards of quality and safety.

As part of this routine inspection, the CQC carried out an unannounced visit on 25 September 2012 and collated feedback from patients, their families and staff. The majority of the feedback given was positive, with families and staff saying that they felt very happy with the care provided, and felt supported and respected. There was some negative feedback from children and families about the food provided at GOSH. This has been noted and an action plan is already in place to make necessary improvements.

Jan Filochowski, who became Chief Executive at the Trust in November 2012, said: “We welcome this latest report from the CQC. I’m pleased to have joined an organisation that strives to deliver the highest standards of care and safety to our patients. Clearly, there is always room for improvement and we’re constantly looking at ways to further enhance our service. I’d like to thank all my colleagues at GOSH who continue to demonstrate the hard work and dedication reflected in this report.”
